Knit Hat and Scarf Set for Dolls
(for 11.5 in. dolls, i.e. Barbie)
Materials
• super fine weight yarn ( pictured: Loops & Threads™ Woolike)
• size 1 and 2 double pointed knitting needles
• size 6 knitting needles
Gauge
8 sts./in. on size 2 needles in stockinette stitch
Hat:
1. With size 1 dpns, cast on 36 stitches. Divide among 3 needles and join round.
2. k1 p1 rib for 5 rows.
3. Change to size 2 dpns. Work 15 more rounds.
decrease
4. (k1, k2tog) across all stitches.
5. Continue to k2tog on remaining rows until 3 stitches are left. Tie off and weave in ends.
Infinity scarf:
1. With size 6 needles, cast on 6 stitches.
2. Work garter stitch (knit all rows) for 52 rows, or approximately 5 in.
3. Bind off.
4. Twist scarf and sew ends together.
